Globe wardrobe

Designer: Studio Job

Customized for unforgettable trips around the world, Globe is the first storage unit that entered Gufram's limited collection. It is a kind of secret chest where you can keep the most vivid memories, the most tangible reminders and the most precious souvenirs from the experiences accumulated in your travels in the four corners of the globe. The narrative register of this new Multiple Gufram is to open your doors and discover where the roads have taken you.
Studio Job - created by Smeets and Nynke Tynagel - designed this small cabinet, offering a different and personal interpretation of the Gufram universe: they have a globe made of soft polyurethane foam placed in the center of the project. The surprise effect is thus even stronger and more intense. The vaguely drawn earth, colored by the different continents and placed in the center of the cabinet, is actually made of a material that is soft to the touch. A coherent choice with Gufram's production and attitude and destined to amaze with an unexpected subtle irony. If, on the other hand, you are not a traveler, you can always use Globe as a transporter to personal space. You can close your eyes, hit the whole world and imagine yourself running in the desert, kissed by the Latin American sun, captivated by the deepest jungle, sitting at a Central European cafe or lost in an Asian metropolis after sailing the ocean waves.
